[The video starts off moving through the trees, which might not be all that odd considering the number of times Pokemon have gotten their trainers' pokegear away from them. There's a backpack hanging from a nearby branch, so they're not far away either, maybe.

Oh, wait, did you see that flash of red? Maybe you heard a colorful demonstration of dialogue followed by a loud crash. Kind of like someone falling out of a tree?]

SERIOUSLY?! What kind of crazy place is this-- [Climbling out of the bushes, throwing a fallen branch out of her path...] --that I can't even move through the trees?!

[The view shifts for a better look. What sounds a lot like Chimchar-type giggling can be heard as it pans down to its trainer, a woman with bright red hair, picking and throwing twigs from her hair. She stops to check on a few scratches on her arm when she hears the snickering and directs her gaze upwards suspiciously.]

... Ah--

[And then she looks stunned, and then she looks angry. Oh crap.]

KONJOOOOO! What part of laying low was uncl-- [END FEED.]

Why in the world would they want to do that? The whole point of a summoning jutsu is to summon something with abilities that humans don't have. [Like frogs that can spit oil, or ferrets that can slice down entire forests, or giant dogs that can track you and... bite... really hard...]

No way, seriously? How has the village not heard about this before now? [Minato would have said SOMETHING, surely. People haven't been going missing since Orochimaru's lair was discovered. So then... we're back to the genjutsu and/or afterlife theory. Neither of which make any sense but what else IS there?] Can you tell me where we are, right now?

I dunno but that's what pokemon are for, I guess. They have pretty special abilities compared to the regular animals back home. [The term 'summoning jutsu' rings a bell to this girl but she'll save that question for later.]

Assuming we're in the same region, I would say we're in Johto. [A beat.] But I wouldn't say this whole place is a village....more like an entirely different world?

Poke-mon? [The hell kind of species is that??? Anyway, she commits those names to memory, Pokemon, Johto. Hm.]

... Different world? You mean like, an afterlife? Or a different dimension?

[Oh great, another person to explain to about the concept of pokemon. She's not going to be that kind of person to complain though.] They're like animals that you can keep as pets but you can use them to fight. You should've started with one when you came here.

Afterlife? [Wait, did this woman die before coming here?] I guess different dimension sounds like a better word. That or alternate universe...

So they are like summoning jutsu. Just that they use these weird little round scrolls instead of a contract seal. Unless this thing- [Holding up Konjo's pokeball here.] -IS the contract seal.

[She gives it a considering look, then Konjo, who jumps up on her shoulder.]

I didn't think something like that was actually possible. Guess I was wrong. Whoever dragged us here must be pretty powerful. [Which doesn't really bode well. She has things to do. Yeah it's great that they were kind enough to heal her and all, but dumping her here without her family or any sort of explanation as to how or why isn't helping.]

Um...yeah, they come out of there? [This woman was letting out more and more interesting information. Yumi knows she shouldn't just outright ask this woman's personal life but her curiosity was starting to bother her a bit.] Who's the little guy?

Maybe they're like some kind of God here. Maybe God of all Gods. [Kind of over exaggerating but you'll never know.] There's not really a way to go back either until he just sends you back.

Could be. Guess if I'm here long enough I'll eventually find out.

[Her companion seems to be happy to get some lime light there, judging by the way he just straightened up, flexed his non-existent muscles, and greeted you, Yumi. Kushina grins and pokes him gently in the stomach.]

This little guy? This is Konjo. He's been stuck to me like glue since I left that weird village.

There's been people who've been here for years and they haven't really found the answer yet either. [She shrugs.] But who knows.

[Yumi's face brightens up when she saw the monkey introduced himself to the girl.]

That would be your starter pokemon then. People usually form some kind of special close bond with them since...you know, being with them since the beginning in this strange place. Looks like he's already taking a liking to you.

Years? Geez, I don't know if I want to be here THAT long, y'know?

He's a pretty cool little guy. I wouldn't have expected a fire monkey, but I can go with this. [They both grin and trade a quick fist bump ~~oh God stop being so corny LOL~~] I think we'll make a good team. How about yours?

My guy? [She kind of looks unsure on that.] He's kind of cool but...well, he's kind of a weirdo. I'm used to other people like him anyway so its nothing different I've dealt with.
