[The video starts off moving through the trees, which might not be all that odd considering the number of times Pokemon have gotten their trainers' pokegear away from them. There's a backpack hanging from a nearby branch, so they're not far away either, maybe.

Oh, wait, did you see that flash of red? Maybe you heard a colorful demonstration of dialogue followed by a loud crash. Kind of like someone falling out of a tree?]

SERIOUSLY?! What kind of crazy place is this-- [Climbling out of the bushes, throwing a fallen branch out of her path...] --that I can't even move through the trees?!

[The view shifts for a better look. What sounds a lot like Chimchar-type giggling can be heard as it pans down to its trainer, a woman with bright red hair, picking and throwing twigs from her hair. She stops to check on a few scratches on her arm when she hears the snickering and directs her gaze upwards suspiciously.]

... Ah--

[And then she looks stunned, and then she looks angry. Oh crap.]

[Obito, you're too loud. Even though Naruto didn't overhear all of it, he definitely picked up on the 'you're here' part, leading him to poke around the network, curious. Maybe it was a friend. Family member? Or heh, maybe its a crush he can go tease him about.]

[Though once he checks this particular entry and hears that voice, the one he'd made absolutely sure to memorize as that flowing red hair appears onscreen, he almost drops the pokegear as he stands there in stunned silence.

[A few seconds later he manages to fumble around with the gear, switching the video function on in order to greet her.]

[Though he ends up pausing during the middle of the very first word. It's his Mom, and she's really here, why hadn't he ever thought of that possibility before? Plenty of other people were here that had been dead.

BUT MOM IS HERE. And they can meet up and train together and go on adventures and MAYBE DAD WILL SHOW UP TOO and they can be a family and everything will be alright and-

Yeah, there's a good thirty seconds or so of silence as he has this expression, holding back tears as the implications of this are catching up to him.

Ok deep breaths Naruto, you are a man and a strong shinobi and you are not going to publicly cry at seeing your mom.]

[A deep breath, and he's yelling into the pokegear loud enough that the entire street can probably hear it.]

[She gets this nifty little indication when someone new is contacting her, and it seems like a good number of people are responding, some familiar but most not. The message this time is short and cut off, and she almost thought the thing was broken, but taking the gear back out for a proper look--]

[Granted, the last time she'd seen Naruto had been nearly twelve hours ago or more, and he'd only just been born that very day, but she'd seen her own reflection enough times to know her features when she saw them, and this kid definitely had them.

[This was surprising. She wasn't certain what to expect but she didn't think they'd be "meeting" like this, talking over this strange device instead of in person, face to face at least. Still, it's far from an unwanted surprise, even if she wishes she were physically there.

What's more, somehow even though she knew he'd be much older the next time they met she still didn't expect for him to be so big. It might have registered on a logical level, but for her the memories of the night before were all still fresh.

[Once she realizes that they've basically been having a staring contest for the last... how long had it been, exactly? Well that was understandable given the circumstances, right?? She lets out a laugh when he finally calls her name. The fact that he did so and apparently recognizes her is enough to finally snap her out of it and prompt the first tears to fall.

Man, this has been an insane 48 hours. All this emotional whiplash! For the moment the need for stealth is forgotten. Her face lights up, contradicting-- or complimenting(?) --the tears.]

Oh geez, of course I'd make myself look like a total dweeb when we finally talk...

["Y'know" amd "like" huh? Being this far apart is incredibly frustrating. She'd really rather be having this kind of conversation face to face, but it can't be helped.

Okay, give her a second to process this. It's not really adding up with what she expected. How is it that they're both here right now and talking, but he's already met her? From the sound of it he met the real her, since she'd have told him all of that. That other girl mentioned a different world, right?

Ugh, okay, she would figure this out, but it could wait a little while.

The last thing I remember is Minato completing the seal, but if we've already met then you know I also remember something else really important.

[Seeing him smile like that makes her feel much better about the whole thing. And hearing him say that just makes her wish even more that he was here in person. She meant every word of what she said but was a little bit worried about disappointing him, not being able to recall, and worrying about how he'd feel about having to become the jinchuuriki.

She'll just be making sure to hug him extra firmly when she does finally see him face to face.

Give her a second, she's got a few more tears going there, and the most distracting, swelling, peaceful feeling in her heart. This would be absolutely perfect if Minato could be here to hear this.]

[Seriously, if she gets any happier right now she's going to burst.
